The Caterpillar Project

Eating enough to turn into butterflies. We're empowering youth to build a healthy relationship with food based on scientific evidence to help reduce the noise from diet culture in their developing minds.

Join us in our mission to help youth, especially athletes, develop a positive and healthy relationship with food based on scientific evidence and information from accredited dietitians. Whether online or in person, we offer free engaging and educational programs focused on reducing the influence of diet culture in young minds.

Programs

Our programs are designed to equip youth with the knowledge and skills to make informed choices about food and nutrition. Through interactive sessions and workshops, we aim to empower young athletes to embrace a balanced and healthy approach to eating. All of our programs are free of charge.

Share Your Story

Real change begins with lived experience. By sharing your story, you are helping make the invisible visible for those struggling with REDs and eating disorders, moving the conversation beyond statistics and into understanding, empathy, and action. Your voice has the power to challenge stigma, educate others, and create a culture where athletes feel seen, supported, and less alone. When you submit your story, you are giving the Caterpillar Project real voices to use in our workshops and resources.

Consumed Film Festival

The Consumed Film Festival spreads awareness on eating disorders through 3 categories: Share a Story, Documentary, and Short Film. The film festival's goal is to help break down the taboo surrounding talking about eating disorders and providing a space where those who suffer from eating disorders can feel seen.
