Get Involved

Why Volunteer?

So many athletes are taught how to train, but not fuel. This gap in information is filled by social media, friends, and other non credible sources. The Caterpillar Project bridges this gap between fueling education and athletics while spreading awareness on eating disorders in sport and REDs so kids can learn how to navigate a world of diet culture. By volunteering with the Caterpillar Project, you are actively aiding a healthier sports enviornment for kids and teens.

Weather you're a sport lover, are interested in nutrition, or want to help the younger generation after having struggled with REDs or an eating disorder yourself, the Caterpillar Project has many opportunities for you to help out. Most of our roles are long time commitment positions and we are looking to build a team of dedicated volunteers. Thank you so much for your interest in the Caterpillar Project! No matter your skill set and experience, we would love to have you on our team!

Submit Your Story

Why Submit your Story?

Real change begins with lived experience. By sharing your story, you are helping make the invisible visible for those struggling with REDs and eating disorders, moving the conversation beyond statistics and into understanding, empathy, and action. Your voice has the power to challenge stigma, educate others, and create a culture where athletes feel seen, supported, and less alone. When you submit your story, you are giving the Caterpillar Project real voices to use in our workshops and resources.
